Cork Rebel Week Visa Day raises €52,000 for CUH Children’s Unit

Cork Rebel Week’s Visa Day raised an incredible €52,000 for the Children’s Unit of Cork University Hospital. On the 16th of October during Cork’s very own Independence Day, hundreds of volunteers from across the county set up “Visa Checkpoints,” selling a €2 “Visa” for Cork, with all proceeds benefiting the CUH Charity’s Children’s Unit Appeal.

Cork City Council Arts Office has extended the deadline for proposals from architectural practices and/or multi-disciplinary architect-led teams (e.g. architects, artists, designers, planners, landscape architects) for the delivery of its ‘Sharing Architecture’ project until 4 pm, Friday, 24th January.

Children in Cork University Hospital get some T.L.C

Cork University Hospital got an emergency delivery of a cuddly kind when a giant teddy and hundreds of smaller teddy bears were delivered by a fire engine to the children treated in CUH. The soft toys were donated to CUH Charity by the Irish Freemasons as part of their TLC (Teddies for Loving Care) appeal.

Cork Foundation to announce first-round beneficiaries at inaugural Founders’ Dinner

The first two beneficiaries of the unique Cork Foundation fund will be announced at its inaugural Founders’ Dinner in Cork on November 15th. The Founders’ Dinner, which will be held in the Rochestown Park Hotel, offers Cork –connected businesses and individuals the opportunity to contribute to job creation with the proceeds helping to fund enterprise in Cork.
