Travel Counsellors Ireland has, for the first time, exceeded sales of €30 million in its current financial year, the company has announced. Sales at Travel Counsellors Ireland are up 20% from 1 November 2017 to date, compared to its 2016/2017 financial year. The leading travel specialists have seen continual year-on-year growth since its launch in Ireland in 2005.

Speaking on the milestone, Cathy Burke, general manager of Travel Counsellors Ireland said: “It’s been a fantastic year of growth for Travel Counsellors, particularly sales for long haul holidays. Sales for Winter 2018/2019 increased by 28% compared to 2017. Looking to next year, Summer 2019 long haul sales are also up, rising by 58% when compared to the same booking period last year.”

Cathy added: “Meeting this increased demand for custom designed travel experiences are the 75 independent Travel Counsellors operating across the country. Each agent provides a tailor-made service for every customer, which is at the heart of Travel Counsellors’ business model.”

Travel Counsellors is continuing to invest globally in digital to enhance the service it provides. “The ‘myTC’ app is just one of the digital tools our Travel Counsellors use to enhance the relationship they have with their clients,” said Cathy. “It was launched in July 2016, and, since then, we have seen a 15% increase in the conversion rate of quotes to bookings, compared to other tools such as email.”
