Susie Horgan, Springboard’s Managing Director, will speak at Outsource’s Annual Conference for the legal profession, entitled “Legal Practice Management Sustaining Profits, Improving Cashflow, and Protecting your Firm”. The half-day conferences, organised by Outsource, Ireland’s leading business advisors for law firms, will be held in locations across the country, with Susie speaking on the 27th of October in Cork and the 28th of October in Galway.

Historic Regional Cultural Strategy launched across Three Sisters Region

An historic Regional Cultural Strategy aimed at increasing Kilkenny, Waterford and Wexford’s visibility nationally and internationally, improving tourism and contributing to economic development has been officially launched.. The strategy is an over-arching framework focusing on culture-led development and regeneration for the Three Sisters region. This is the first time a single cultural strategy has been adopted by three different local authorities.

President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, today officially launched The Centre for the Study of Moral Foundations of Economy & Society at an event held at the Royal Irish Academy in Dublin. This launch is the final event under the President of Ireland’s Ethics Initiative, which ran from November 2013 to November 2015. The Centre is a collaboration between University College Cork (UCC) and Waterford Institute of Technology (WIT).

First baby born in Ireland following ground-breaking new IVF treatment

A Cork woman has become the first in Ireland to give birth following a complex new IVF treatment at a leading fertility clinic. The healthy baby girl was born two weeks ago at Cork University Maternity Hospital, following Pre-Implantation Genetic Screening with IVF at Cork Fertility Centre.

First baby in Ireland born free from rare genetic condition following successful PGD Treatment

A baby girl is the first in Ireland to be born free from Smith-Lemli-Opitz Syndrome, following PGD treatment. Both of her parents carry the gene for this rare inherited disease. She was born in Cork University Maternity Hospital in mid-September, after her parents underwent Pre-Implantation Genetic Diagnosis treatment at Cork Fertility Centre.
