Dockland features a dedicated Bloody Mary menu in the contemporary new space

Dockland, Cork’s new contemporary lifestyle restaurant, deli and bar, has officially launched today on Lapp’s Quay. Dockland is now open from 10am to 10pm Monday to Friday, 11am to 10pm Saturday, and 11am to 7pm Sunday.

The new lifestyle restaurant provides dining options throughout the day, along with take-out from the deli. Customers can dine at the stunning 1950s style countertop bar or in the 90-seater restaurant, while exclusive event hire is also available.

Well-known restaurateurs Harold Lynch and Beth Haughton have designed and created this new setting to match the needs of the professionals living and working in the Cork city area. The 2,600 sq ft space is fully-licensed, and employs 20 staff.

Dockland is making its mark with a signature weekend brunch offering, being
Cork’s only city centre venue with a dedicated Bloody Mary menu. There are six types available including the signature Beetroot Bloody Mary, made with gin, beetroot, dill, and lime.

For weekend brunch, Dockland is also the only city centre restaurant offering ‘Breakfast in Bread’, a loaded sourdough loaf filled with everything from eggs, cheese, and bacon to spinach and mushrooms.

Speaking on the opening, Beth Haughton said: “Cork is a dynamic city with a young population. We are surrounded by an audience that is much more into their food than ever before, with a passion for eating, drinking and entertaining. With Dockland, we are embracing this lifestyle, and are there for every part of your busy day – whether that’s a quick coffee and freshly made pastry to take away in the morning or a leisurely dinner with friends.”

Ballymaloe-trained chef Harold Lynch is focused on utilising local produce throughout the menu, with vegan and gluten-free options available. Dishes range from bites, to bigger plates to mains, and stand out additions include the Dockland Pizza, with Ballyhoura creamy mushrooms and crispy bacon, along with the grilled sumac spiced lamb steak.

Beth added: “Freshly made sandwiches can also be ordered during the day, and city centre desk delivery is available. Our gourmet delicatessen — which will be opened until late in the coming weeks — has convenient take-out favourites such as delicious salads, wines, and sweets. We’ll also soon be adding casseroles and curries to the take-out menu. This is food you love made by people who love food.”
